You may have noticed this push button switch outfitted at the pivot of the bar. This C6 is optioned with a power top. The switch references the bar is upright in position and therefore will not allow power top operation. Once the bar is released and folded the switch completes the electrical circuit to permit top operation. This feature is outfitted as a safeguard to eliminate a crash experienced if the top is commanded up or down while the bar is locked in position. .
